Amazing Geraniums - Jun 11, 2023

How amazing are these Geraniums?

I spotted these growing in a church carpark, in Minto. They are growing in terrible soil, I bet they never get watered. I bet they flower like this most of the year.

Why are they growing so well?

This wall probably has blue metal behind it, that gives excellent drainage. Geraniums love drainage. They also love full sun.

Could they be improved?

Yes they could be cut back by 50% after this flower burst. They could be fed with Tim's FAST FOOD and Tim's Cow Manure. They would then get fresh new green growth, and even more flowers.

We have potted Geraniums in stock.

We and fabulous new varieties that stay more compact and flower more often.

Come see.

I lost my Secateurs during the week.

I usually overnight them in my work bag. They live in a leather pouch.

During the day they get attached to my belt, I use them at least a thousand times a day.

Yesterday they weren't in my bag.

I had a panic attack. I blamed everyone for their disappearance. You might have got a text message?

"Have you seen my Secateurs?"

I had to backtrack, to see if they'd fallen out of my bag, I picked up papers as I was walking, did they fall out?

Hayden kindly lent me his pair of Secateurs. But he wanted them back.

It helped a little bit.

I went on line and ordered 5 more pairs. Just incase 4 go missing.

These Secateurs really are that special.

Driving home I had an epiphany.

I remembered using my Secateurs at home, I trimmed some grass away from sprinkler heads. Where did they go after that?

This morning I found them. It was like two lovers meeting. I had an Edward Scissor Hands moment. Something could have got trimmed.

The new ones that I ordered have now arrived. These ARS Secateurs are amazing quality. We've sold 2 pairs already.

They cost $99.99. They will last forever.

See the staff on the counter if you'd like a pair. They stay super sharp and they don't rust.

More Rose bushes arrived this week so we now have over 100 varieties including new Releases like "Graham Ross". Yes Graham has a rose named after him that raises money for charity. We only have 5 but more are coming. It's a lovely yellow rose with a great fragrance. It's an award winning rose.

We have all your favourites here too.

A customer told me a funny story.

They rang Bunnings looking for a Mr Lincoln Rose. A lady answered the phone.

"Hello", he said. "I'm after a Mr Lincoln Rose, would you have one of those?"

He said the lady took a long time to get back to him. "No" she said, "Mr Lincoln Rose doesn't work here anymore".

He laughed of course.

He got a Mr Lincoln Rose bush from us.

We are taking 25% off the marked price on all our roses bushes in June. You should buy them now. You'll save heaps.

I was working in my garden last Saturday.

It was such a beautiful day. This is my garden in the photo. You can see the autumn colour of the trees. I love trees so much. I'm planting a couple more this week.

I'm planting Pyrus capital. They are an upright skinny tree for smaller spaces.

I've got just the spot for two.

I hope you're enjoying your garden too.

We really don't have a winter here.

You can garden all year round.

Fruit trees are arriving next week.

We will be busy potting them on.

Hopefully lots will be ready for next weekend.

We are open this long weekend.

Sunday and Monday 10am till 4pm.

Saturday 8.30 till 5pm.

Come for a visit, our nursery looks beautiful.

Come see our potting mix trial. You'll be surprised how poorly the plants are growing in these Australian Standards Premium Potting mixes. Tim's Best is superior in every way. It's amazing.

Happy gardening
