Autumn Is The Best Time To Grow Vegetables - Apr 24, 2025

Dear Gardening Friends
We are closed tomorrow to commemorate ANZAC DAY but we will be back to work Saturday and Sunday so make sure you come and see us.

It's time to plant Garlic and it's so easy to grow.
simply prepare your soil first by digging Tim's Cow Manure into your soil with a shovel or Mattock.
Rake it level then apply Tim's FAST FOOD Fertiliser.
Cover soil with Sugarcane and water well.

Then purchase a clove of Spanish Garlic from us.
Split this up into seperate scales. Plant each scale flat end down just below the soil. Yes push it through the Sugar cane. Plant them 10-15cms apart. Water well and wait. They will pop up within 14 days and they just grow, grow, grow!!!!

Harvest in spring when the leaves turn yellow.
Wash soil from Cloves and hang up to dry.
You can eat it straight away, it's full of juice, it's amazing!!!!!!

It's short week and all our suppliers are flat out.
This guy delivered our Tim's Best Potting mix today at around 3pm. He's a contractor. He was asking me about Lemon trees. "Which one should I buy".

I showed him a Meyer Lemon and told him I'd give him the staff discount, because he's part of our gardening family. He thought that was great, and I picked him the best plant.

After he left I realised we haven't ordered enough Tim's Best Potting Mix. It's selling like crazy after our latest potting mix trial. So I ring our supplier and order 10 more pallets.

They tell me that they are flat out, and they don't have any trucks to deliver it, but they will see what they can do.

Guess who turns up with our Delivery just before 5pm. Our Lemon Tree Truck driver, I thank him of course.

Where do you live mate? "Mt Druitt"
He's a long way from home, wasn't that nice of him. Kindness always comes back.

It's time to grow Cyclamen and we have the best colours, they will make you smile. Remember to grow your Cyclamen outside in the cold. They love the cold weather, and they usually drop dead when you grow them inside in a heated room.

They actually thrive outside where they get morning sun and then shade. Pot them into bigger pots using Tim's Best Potting mix. If you buy a ceramic pot and a Cyclamen, we will do this for you, at no extra cost. Water once a week, and enjoy the flowers all autumn, winter and early spring.
They make great Mother's Day gifts!

Here's a great news story. Our Supertunia "Jazzberry" was looking very unhappy a month ago and one of my staff members wanted to chuck it out. Let's cut it right back to a frame I said and then top up the pot with Tim's Best Potting Mix. We did give it a spray to control Two Spotted Mites too.

The weather cooled when Autumn kicked in and the plant came back to life with more flowers. It's looking fabulous again. This plant really is a Rock Star!!!!

We will have them again in spring, you must plant at least one, they are just soooooooo good. We sold over 1,000 last spring, I think we can beat that.

Will it survive winter? We are keeping this one to see what happens, I'll be surprised if it survives our cold winters, but it might.

Don't forget we are closed ANZAC DAY.
See you Saturday and Sunday.

Happy gardening
Tim
