Tim's Best Potting Mix

In May 2023 we did a potting mix trial using Australian Standards Premium Potting mixes. We put drainage holes in the back of the bags and cut holes in the front to plant Lettuce seedlings.

The plants were watered overhead by a sprinkler system. We didn't add any fertilisers. Each week we monitored the plant growth. We were disturbed by the results.

We had suddenly discovered that The Australian Standard was a joke and it was no guarantee that the plants would grow.
